TRAVEL ADVISORY: Mumbai - Expected traffic congestion until 12th September

heads up! mumbai maybe a bit congested. here's the travel advisory on the singapore airlines website. 

"The Hindu religious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 1-12 September in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra state. As a result, traffic restrictions will be imposed across Mumbai on 2, 5, 6, 7 and 11 September, with expected road closures affecting 34 roads and one-way vehicular movement on 52 other routes. 

Some major roads which will see religious processions include Jagannath Shankar Sheth Road (Girgaum, South), Chinchpokli Bridge (Byculla, South), Sandhurst Road (South), Pandita Ramabai Marg (Gamdevi, South), Ranade Road, Dr. Baba Ambedkar Road, Tilak Bridge and Shivaji Park (all Dadar, South), Lal Bahadur Shashtri Marg (Kurla, Central) and Aarey Colony (Goregaon, North). 

As such, passengers are advised to factor in sufficient time for their journey to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Check-in counters for SIA flights will be opened four hours before the scheduled departure time, and check-in will close 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. "
